Renee Cox criticizes the roles of women in history and contemporary culture through her art using own body, both clothed and nude. Her purposes of doing such are to criticize sexist and racist society and to celebrate black womanhood. Yo Mama’s Last Supper is the most controversial photograph created by Cox. It is shown at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City. It is the new version of the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci.
